- Only use 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper
- One-half inch margin minimum
- Address starts in upper left hand corner
- Layout can include headline, bi-line, and leader (part of first sentence bold)
- Always double space. Editors need the room to edit if necessary
- Add details such as page x of x, continued from / to, etc.
- Save it as a PDF and email it, too.
- Follow up if with a phone call you can.
- Use an online service such as Cision.com
